Second, a Christmas lunch with gift exchange among a small unit of five to six people on the 23rd. I am not expecting any luxury or pricey gift from exchange party but not a gift which will be expiring soon plus with terms & conditions apply. I think that was the worst Christmas gift that I have received. Hence, we came out with rules in buying gift. Isn't this sound funny to have rules in buying gift? Actually it is not so much about the rule is about the heart in buying it but people got upset about this *sigh*.
Third, another Christmas party to be held in Klang which was supposed to be held at sister's home as a family gathering. However, this year it will be different as sis plans to make it a little bigger with friends instead of only family members. It will be held at a centre owned by mom's friend. So mom decided to have karaoke session at that Christmas party. OMG! I would be fine if those aunties and uncles are going to sing out loud Christmas songs otherwise *fainted*. Bigger sigh this time, huh?
I really feel like telling them... yeah all of them that:
Christmas isn't Christmas 'til it happens in your heart
Somewhere, deep inside you, is where Christmas really starts
So give your heart to people, you'll discover when you do
That it's Christmas, really Christmas for you... and me too!
(Disney - Christmas lyrics)
I used to celebrate Christmas at a very young age and at that time I did not even know what is Christmas except receiving gifts, eating and playing games with cousins (thanks to Aunt Joyce & Jamie). As I grow up, I found out actually Christmas day is also the birthday of Mary's son, Jesus Christ. So I think this man must be very generous to share his birthday with everyone (is a rest day!) and even let us have present(s) on his birthday.
Now as I am much older, I think Christmas should be a day to remember the people who loves us and people that we love, to gather up with them (just like the night before the 1st day of CNY, the reunion dinner) to share the fun, love and laughter with some Christmas songs sang by everyone. That's the real Christmas for me!
Lastly, I am longing for the last Christmas party which will be held on the 24th at jiji's house with only family members and pray that it would be full with Christmas spirit. God bless everyone on this Christmas!
