The more people get caught under Sedition Act, the more people's voice you will hear. Is it the truth is you are longing to hear from them?
Another Malaysian has been arrested for alleged sedition this month. By the way, what the Sedition Act in Malaysia says?
From Wikipedia, it is a law prohibiting discourse deemed as seditious. Now, what is seditious? Sedition is a term of law which refers to covert conduct, such as speech and organization, that is deemed by the legal authority as tending toward insurrection against the established order.
Referring to that act, it was originally enacted by the colonial authorities of British Malaya in 1948. The act criminalizes speech with "seditious tendency", including that which would "bring into hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection against" the government or engender "feelings of ill-will and hostility between different races". The latter provision includes the questioning of certain portions of the Constitution of Malaysia, namely those pertaining to the Malaysian social contract, such as Article 153, which deals with special rights for the bumiputra.
So, is that means non-bumis are not allow to talk here? For it might directly or indirectly or even truthfully telling you something about "them". Sh*t! Again... the Freedom of Speech here is not "free" as defined in the dictionary. OMG!! Double-standard (a_ u_u_l).
The funniest thing is there should be no wearing black for all Malaysian today, for they might thought you are one of the party supporters and catch you arr!! Siao meh?? Scary man! Freedom of speech taler, now freedom to "pakai baju" pun taler lar!! "Mommy arr.. I cannot wear my black shirt today la... ngeh!!".
Apa ni? Talk also want to "tangkap", now wear also want to "tangkap" arr? So, no need to wear anything la... hehehe *pengsan*
